The Role – Head of Retail

Required Experience

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within the high-end fashion retail environment at Head of Retail, Sales Director or equivalent level
  • Retail and commercial know-how
  • Experience identifying new profit  and growth opportunities and establishing commercial strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction within the Retail division 
  • Financial management of retail outlets, concessions, budgets, expenses and assets with a view to control expenditure and improve earnings
  • Source all new locations for retail business and follow whole process through from landlords negotiation to store opening; accountable for delivering store payback in a timely manner
  • Drive strong commercial plans and compliance at store level through Area Management team
  • Work closely with head office departments to generate retail focus including merchandising, store planning, visual merchandising, marketing and product development
  • Partner effectively as a coach and mentor to area managers and store managers
  • Lead by example to create a positive retailing environment through teamwork, to enable the retail and other channels to meet and exceed sales and loyalty expectations
  • Review and analyze retail business performance on a regular basis 
  • Generating and continually reviewing marketing strategies to increase sales revenues for the retail division
  • Create a positive environment and build a highly motivated team committed to exceeding customer expectations, operating efficiently and meeting set profit / revenue targets;
