Buying Admin Assistant

A leading retailer in the West Yorkshire area are seeking a Buying Admin Assistant to join their homeware team paying a salary of £16k + Benefits

Your new company
Based in West Yorkshire, this retailer has a new opportunity for a Buying Admin Assistant to join their company and assist their Homeware department. Based in a modern head office, with excellent benefits, surrounded by like-minded people aiming for the same goals.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the administration and the set-up of suppliers and products using their in-house systems. You will manage samples, follow the critical path using Excel and ensure products move through smoothly and on time. You will have responsibility for sample approvals and the communication of comments back to suppliers. Other teams in the business such as Marketing, QA and Ecommerce will mean collaborative working to achieve the best representation of product - you will work closely with Marketing to ensure that information about your products is correct. You will work closely and learn from the Buying team to help you progress within your role. Your ideas will be valued, as you will help in the creation of new products and product ranges. Plus other administrative duties such as follow up on emails, taking and making calls and office paperwork in relation to post and approvals.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you should have the drive and ambition to want to progress within Buying, being a strong self-motivated worker but with strong team working and organisation skills. A good grasp of the Microsoft Office package, in particular Excel. Your background could come directly from a university course in Retail or Buying, without any industry experience - or you could have internships, work placement experience.
