My client is a family run business which has been manufacturing high quality products for almost 40 years. All of their products are manufactured to the highest standards within their own purpose built manufacturing site here in the UK. They place a strong emphasis on supporting local raw material and packaging suppliers and where ever possible always use UK based suppliers. They are equally proud of their welfare and environmental policies, as none of their products have ever been, or ever will be tested on animals, nor do they contain any animal ingredients or derivatives and all of their products are BUAV and ‘The Vegetarian Society’ approved. As well as this, all of their packaging is recyclable and they do not use aerosols and only use Palm Oil from approves sustainable suppliers.
They have recently made a ‘6 figure’ investment in the development of a new Luxury cosmetic brand and they are now looking for a Senior Sales Manager to launch their product into the UK market, specifically targeting high end department stores such as; Harrods, Selfridge's and House of Fraser.
Reporting to the Managing Director, it will be your responsibility to launch this new and exciting brand into the target market of the High end Department stores and luxury boutiques. This is a home based role but you will be expected, initially, to spend up to 2 days a week at Head office in West Yorkshire. You will be given a huge degree of autonomy and as such will be expected to; manage your own prospecting activities, attend meetings with buyers, advertising agencies and internal stake holders, as well as range reviews and forecasting. You will be given full support from the business and all the resources and tools needed to make sure that the range is a success.
My client is looking for someone ideally from within the cosmetics and personal care industry, however anyone who has experience in launching a luxury brand or product range into premium retailers. You will have 5-8 years’ experience within either of these markets, selling into accounts such as Harrods, Selfridge's,John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams. Ideally you will have been involved in new product launches and have been involved in a large amount of new business development. You will be looking for an opportunity to be involved with a fast paced, highly successful business and possess a highly commercial and innovative mind with an ability to think on your feet.
