We are looking to recruit for a new role for the business and are looking for keen graduates who are looking to train in the textile industry.

Main Role: To assist the Technical Director ensuring a smoothly run production unit and compliance to international standards.


Key Tasks:


  1. To assist the Technical Director (TD) To provide technical support and advice to the business or customers as required To take ownership and investigate any complaints To organise and manage the testing of fabrics ensuring conformance for new and existing products . Any other adhoc duties in line with the role requirements

Key Objectives:


  1. To learn and develop knowledge by working closely with the TD. To ensure a comprehensive support network for all of our customers or internally. To be able to provide a complete and thorough response to customers or internal staff following an issue. To continue the business' development of our products to the same high standards. Complete maintenance and continued improvement of our management systems within the business. Liaising with suppliers and customers on new developments and quality aspects.


Essential: educated to degree or equivalent level

Preferred: Educated to degree or equivalent level in textiles


Skills & Competencies

Essential: the ability to give clear written and verbal instructions. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, outlook & word)

Preferred: a background in analytical skills, using IT to report and analyse data. Previous working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.


Essential: there is no essential knowledge required on textiles as we are keen to train the right graduate.

Preferred: an understanding of the textile industry, preferably in wool. A diverse range of knowledge of weaving, finishing, dyeing and fabric testing.

Experience Required

Essential: Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.

Preferred: relevant experience in textile manufacturing and testing.

Special Attributes

A passion for textiles and willing to do the extra mile. Excellent attention to details. Excellent organisation and communication skills. The ability to work under pressure ad to tight deadlines.

Personal Qualities

This role would suit a highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic. Someone who enjoys overseas travel as this would be part of the role and has the ability to work individually or as part of a team.

Job Details:

Full time, permanent position

Hours: Mon-Fri

Competitive salary

Holidays: 30 days per year on set holiday shut down periods.
