Our Client is one of the leading and most successful clothing suppliers to the corporatewear market. We are now seeking a strong dedicated and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to Effectively manage staff ,Inventory , warehouse & outbound logistical facilities to achieve required service for levels for all customers in line with the relevant customers SLAs and internal budgetary requirements. Our client has requested that  the successful candidate is to have CILT and NEBOSH qualifications

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is ultimately responsible for the following areas: 

The recruitment, training, deployment, performance and welfare of all staff employed in warehouse related duties 

The structure, layout, maintenance, cleaning and improvement of all business facilities and equipment 

The receipt, storage, security and subsequent despatch of all products necessary for the fulfilment of all customer orders 

To manage all costs as a minimum in line with budgetary expectations. 

To continuously improve the efficiency & quality of all processes within the warehouse functionality.

 

To manage all inventory control mechanisms focusing on stock accuracy and minimising stock loss. This will also include cyclical stock checks as well as periodic stock takes.

To plan labour levels, record and control all labour associated costs in line with receipt and output forecasts.

As a minimum, meet all required customer and internally set SLA levels.

To monitor and improve all warehouse generated returns.

Formation of the effective communicational structures and subsequent

maintenance of them.

Responsibilities of resources tasked with business Health & Safety maintenance & improvement.

Monitoring and Management of all outbound logistic contracts against contracted SLA’s

Project Management of key business initiatives along with costs evaluation and monitoring.

Cost per unit despatched expressed in line with group metrics.

Time to receipt stock.

Average time to despatch orders (relative to SLA’s)

% of orders OTIF

Financial analysis of part picking

Variance to budget

% of miss picks

Accuracy of stock

Financial analysis of stock loss

Absence levels of staff.

Health & Safety LTI and MTI targets

Cost reduction performance

The position reports directly to the Head of Operations

The following positions directly report to the Warehouse Manager:-

Warehouse site Managers

Site maintenance

Health & Safety Supervisor

Warehouse Data Analyst

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

Self motivated and performance driven.

Good level of IT knowledge especially Excel.

Good people management skills with ability to mentor and motivate others

Good level of mathematical ability.

Qualifications at CILT Graduate Diploma level or equivalent.

Nebosh Certificate would be advantageous.

Excellent communication skills.

Proven Warehouse Management experience with a credible scale of organisation.

Ability to travel as you may be required to cover / visit the off shore facility in Europe,
