Key Accountabilities

Manage fast fashion buying team

  • Manage/lead the Fast Fashion Buying team for multiple labels from demand signal to retail intro. Provide guidance on a daily basis to buying and development team on all ISC product request
  • Drive x-functional team across marketing, design, development, materials, purchasing, etc....

Drive process improvement and expansion of Fast Fashion Buying service

  • Drive expansion of the Fast Fashion business across BUs and markets
  • Ensure scalability of Fast Fashion process: drive ongoing ISC process efficiency improvement

Support building and managing a reactive fast fashion service offering

  • Engage with supplier and sourcing community to manage the fast fashion supplier portfolio effectively
  • Identify opportunities for reactive / fast services in close alignment with adidas Business Units and Own Retail organization

People Management

  • Manage the Fast Fashion buying team with clear direction, priorities and targets that are aligned with business needs
  • Create a work environment in which employees are challenged, coached, trained and provided with career opportunities

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

  • Experience of working in a buying role within a Head Office environment
  • An understanding of product creation would be a benefit
  • Intimacy with the Fashion industry – key players and suppliers in Apparel, Accessories, and ideally also Footwear
  • International working experience across the Fashion supply chain, from Tier 1 suppliers to customer design teams
  • Creation/sourcing expertise in key product types/categories in Apparel or Footwear (e.g. knitwear tops or denim)
  • Experience in team management working in multiple countries
  • Fluent English, basic German preferred

Qualifications

  1. 4-year college or University degree with emphasis on clothing/material technology and/or manufacturing, textile engineering or textile commercial background
  2. A minimum of 7 years of related work experience in product marketing, development or fashion sourcing, working across multiple countries of origin, preferably in multinational companies
