We have partnered with a heritage menswear brand, recruiting a Senior Menswear designer to join their team. My client is looking for an experienced candidate with strong leadership skills.

*Research and development of outerwear and formalwear opportunities. Working with the Collection Director and the Designer to dovetail these findings into the overall collection, including concepts/directions/themes/colours each season, Creating mood boards and presentation tools in line with product strategy.

*Responsible for the design and the ongoing management of the design development process for outerwear & formalwear through to final approval and production of samples, ensuring set timescales are adhered to.

*Management of design and development process for outerwear & formalwear to meet the design and costing requirements as detailed in the menswear commercial brief. This is defined in conjunction with the merchandising team.

*To liaise and co-ordinate with the product team through every stage of the development process.

*Work in conjunction with the relevant Product Managers for the sourcing and selection of fabrics, materials, trims that are fit for purpose.

*Assist in the initial creation of the Bill of Materials document in conjunction with the product team.

*To interface with garment technologists with regards to size specifications, technical construction and the suitability of designs for end use.
*Responsible for maintaining a consistency of look within the overall menswear category.

*Presentations of collections as required.
*Assist with the merchandising of showrooms.
*Assist with the preparation of the collection for shows, presentations and marketing/promotional tools.
