Reports to: Merchandising Manager
Allocation:Allocate stock to stores in line with the range plan and allocation grids.Propose alternatives where product has been short shipped or late delivered.Amend allocation plans by store based on trading decisions, increasing or decreasing allocation levels.Present Allocation grids prior to sign off.Manage the warehouse and branch stock level of each line, compiling proposals for allocation, replenishment parameters and consolidations.Allocate to individual stores as required by business performance.Plan and allocate opening package to new stores in line with store profile, size, density, floor plan previously agreed.Carry out action required for store closures and where stores have been refurbished, to reflect new status.
In-Season Performance Monitoring and Forecasting:Produce product analysis/store analysis/reports for Monday trading pack.Produce analysis of product performance to support trading decisions, range planning, repricing etcCollate samples of best/worst sellers to present at weekly trading meeting
Flow line Management:Under the guidance of the Merchandising team and re-forecast continuity flow lines in order to understand where re-orders need to be placed and to ensure NOS on core offer.Alongside a senior member of the merchandising team, to manage in-season order placement and intake plans with suppliers to maintain plan stock levels.
Planning:Support the Merchandiser in updating all Financial & Product planning documents with history.Produce historical analysis to support planning decisions.Review price architecture, colour balance, number of options to aid following seasons planning.
Range Planning:Produce historical analysis to support planning decisions, based on existing business and transposed onto future business model.Produce detailed analysis ahead of the buy to support the building of a balanced range, based on the pyramid range strategy.Work to produce the following season's strategy pack to give the design team clarity as to what is required by category.Produce buy summary and analysis for range sign off.Produce historical size analysis and size ratios for the buy, highlighting where sizes and categories were under potentialised.Produce allocation plans by store, dependent upon store profiling grid by category.
Administration:Run reports as required on a weekly basis, helping to collate Monday Morning packProduce information for weekly store news letter and to let stores know of price changes, promotions etc.Produce ad-hoc reports for area managers as and when required
The suitable candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with GCSE Maths or equivalent. To have a good level of basic computer skills, in particular excel, and other industry standard merchandising systems and a high level of numeracy is required.
