Seasonal development of salesman samples:

1. Take direction from product developer regarding style allocation and development workload each season.
2. Update the proto monitor spreadsheet each season, monitor progress and help product developer to maintain the timetable.
3. Using the PLM system produce first prototype spec for new design work including block assessment, creative styling, size measurements for base size and the grade. Develop designs for designers
4. Edit and update CAD designs using Illustrator.
5. Produce sample reports for each prototype until sealed.
6. Produce final salesman sample spec including all fabric and trim details and colour breakdown information.
7. Assist in the preparation for the seasonal product launches.
8. Place all lab dip work direct with fabric suppliers across all relevant qualities. Help to monitor progress on lab dip spreadsheet and confirm all lab dip work.
9. Place all fabric testing on new qualities with the nominated fabric-testing house.
10. Arrange for new salesman samples to be sent out for testing. Monitor wearer trial results and feedback.
11. Be involved in size set fittings with the pre- production department.
12. Support the pre - production team and ensure that the salesman sample spec is accurate before final handover of the style around the time of launch.
13. Take a percentage of styles through from SMS to bulk production. Conduct size set fit sessions, create comments and complete the spec to bulk specification.
14. Build and maintain strong business relationships with product factories using clear and effective communication combined with supplier trips.
15. Liaise with fabric mills for lab dip approval and fabric testing.
