After 175 years serving Edinburgh city with the finest of luxury watch and jewellery marques, LAING have just announced they are on the move. They will be moving from their current Frederick Street location to the former Barclays building on the corner of George Street, Edinburgh.
The intention is that after a complete renovation and a £1.3 million refit, the new LAING Edinburgh store will deliver to their customers the best shopping experience in Scotland for jewellery, diamonds and watches.
Marketing many of the world’s most luxurious watch and jewellery names including their own distinct LAING Fine Diamond Jewellery collections, the level of sales and service professionalism that is demanded in-store is rightly of the highest order.
For a Sales Consultant to succeed within any one of the group’s four stores, certain areas of capability are non-negotiable, namely: an intent focus on being highly product aware and ever keen to acquire new knowledge from partner brand owners, and a commitment to delivering a purchasing experience that shows genuine empathy and delivers every customer’s exact purchasing dream.
All this service ambition will be underpinned by a raft of personal high standards encompassing immaculate self–presentation, diligent and exacting in-store operation, and the ability to combine gifted salesmanship with an understanding of the long-term customer patronage imperative.
The jewellery business is all about detail, and even shop–floor focused and customer facing team members will need to be adept at administration.
Such is the quality of merchandise showcased in-store and the pre-eminence of the manufacturers that the business is entrusted to represent, that when not being presented to a client it must be displayed and cared for with the utmost reverence. No deviation from the agreed in-store standards would be acceptable to our client or to you!
Prior experience within the watch and jewellery sector will be an undoubted advantage; however exceptional retail professionals from a different luxury goods retail sphere could, with our clients support, make their mark in this inspirational trade.
