We have an exciting new role with a successful Supplier in Manchester to start immediately, they are looking for a Junior Account Manager to work in their busy Sales team covering general gifting.
 
In this role you will be responsible for managing commercial relationships with current long term key accounts while acquiring new customers to ensure the long term future of the company.
This is a maternity cover role of up to 1 year with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.
 
Main duties of this role will include:
  • Acting as the first contact for customers in ensuring that key accounts are maintained
  • Bringing in new business to the company based on the business strategy
  • Have the ability to revitalise dormant accounts in line with the business strategy and goals
  • Cold calling to generate new leads
  • Attending briefing meetings with the product development team. Understand customer brief & requirements to help manage expectations in relation to quotes, quality & cost.
  • Attending pre-production meetings with Product development team before handing the product over at production stage to the merchandise/delivery team.
  • Monitoring the budgeted targets set for each customer and feedback into the management team on budgeted progress on a monthly basis
  • Provide regular statistical information to the management team for each customer on a seasonal and annual basis.
  • Attending trade shows and exhibitions
  • This role will include extensive travel throughout the UK and Europe
 
Person Requirements:
  • This role would suit a graduate with industry experience
  • Confident in communicating with people at all levels
  • Able to work well in a team
  • A self-starter
  • Commercially aware of the gifting industry
  • Have strong customer skills and have the ability to build long term relationships
