Due to the growth within the company and a restructure to the buying department are client are now looking for a buyer ideally from a grey market/BWS background.
Join a fast paced grocery retailer during a large growth period and actively contribute to a new strategy for the business. You will be responsible for developing ranges in line with the new business model whilst maintain the companies high ethical standards.
A brief overview of responsibilities include;
Delivery of a competitive consumer offer - price, promotions and range in line with the Brand.
Contribution and delivery of joint business and category plans to grow sales and margins.
Delivery of affordable customer focused promotions to drive profitable growth
Build strong relationships, collaborative ways of working, on-going communications and co-ordinate with Buying teams, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance
Our client is looking for someone with buyer experience and be able to come in and proactively take the business forward.
To be successful in this role your skills will include:
Experience of buying in food retail
Degree or equivalent is preferred however Degree calibre will be considered
Previous experience of buying within a food, retail or wholesale environment
Business knowledge of retailers/sales, supply chain, finance and IT
Technical skills within negotiation, supplier management and trade & planning
Flexible on salary ranging from £35,000-£50,000 and benefits.
