What you’ll do

Lead the technical design process from concept to final sample approval for the assigned product category

Ensure that all aspects of the entire product technical design process are included (e.g. market research, core style creation, engineering, operations and technical fit)

Assume responsibility for brand fulfilling technical product design in the assigned product category

Provide recommendations to the Technologists regarding seasonal themes and new concepts

Ensure that all products of the assigned product category are consistent with the design direction, line plan and targets

Follow technical direction specific to customer segmentation needs

Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning and Sourcing to edit, assort

and curate the product line in order to meet the objectives

Work closely with Designers and Sourcing partners to ensure that product packs are completed in a timely manner and match key milestone dates



Bachelor degree in Textile, manufacturing or engineering

Experience working in the apparel industry alongside the design, buying and sourcing departments

Expert knowledge in Childrenswear is essential and strong knowledge in product development, fit and manufacturing standards

Ability to manage and drive fit sessions

Strive for continuous improvement in process and product specifications

A strong team player and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

A positive, forward-thinking mindset and ambition to continually improve

Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills

Excellent English language skills and preferably a fluency in one more other languages

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Adobe Illustrator
