An amazing opportunity has become available for a Freelance License wear Designer to work for this leading Supplier; this is a dynamic company with exciting prospects. This role is based in Central London. You must have a passion for trends and new designers, and want to be a apart of an exciting journey with an innovative and reactive supplier!

The Role

*Responsibility for the design, development and trends of licensed product; across either Menswear, Womenswear or Childrenswear.
*Ability to work as a team creating mood and trend boards,
*Collaborate with buying to develop each product from concept to production, with attention to detail at every stage.
*Offer new ideas and participate in team meetings.
*Planning of development calendar to achieve option plan for key dates.
*Inspirational trips- to research product for all areas of the business.
*Travelling to Turkey and Eastern Europe to develop product and range build.
*Liaising with your Account Manager on development, fabric and trim sourcing and approvals.
*Understanding of designing to a price point.
*Liaising with production on all order approvals and costing issues.

The Candidate

*Industry experience as a Licensewear Designer within a commercial business is essential.
*A clear drive and enthusiasm for fashion and detailing.
*Passion of current fashion trends / looks.
*Global market awareness.
*Proactive and inspirational researcher.
*Eye for colour, trend and fashion.
*Strong technical skills and knowledge.
*Attention to detail and ability to meet design brief.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
