About the Technical Product Developer role...
Utilising your previous experience of working within the high street market, this role will involve managing the technical aspect of all styles each season from concept through to bulk. The role includes (but is not limited to)
As a Technical Product Developer, you would manage the fit and technical process through from concept till delivery – covering all men’s and women’s woven and jersey products including denim
Support the Creative Director with Fabric sourcing each season, travelling and visiting the fabric fairs
Responsible for checking the quality and make up of the samples, manage the specs and drive the fit meetings with the creative director
Critical path management through development and production, chasing in samples, SMS sample sets and fit and seal samples for approval
Follow through with the factories on the comments to be actioned, ensuring the comments get relayed back to the factory correctly and chase through the samples at each stage in the critical path
Manage all fabric testing with the offshore factories
Liaise daily with the offshore factories relating to any queries, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience of working within high street – either within a retailer or within a supplier and with working with denim products
Excellent working knowledge of denim and it’s wash processes
Excellent knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting as well as confident with driving the fit meetings to achieve the desired fit.
Excellent problem solving skills, experience of working with offshore factories coupled with the ability to build successful relationships with the factories and in house teams
A strong team member who can also work well on your own as required but also equally under direction as needed
Flexible attitude and a strong work ethic. Some travel may be involved with this role.
