A great opportunity for a Garment Technologist to make this role your own. My client is a Premium / Luxury Ladieswear brand and are looking for an established technologist to come on board and join their team.

About the Garment Technologist role...

Utlising your previous experience of working within luxury brands, this role will involve working with the in house Atelier from development through to pre production and production. The role includes (but is not limited to)

  • Manage the technical development of the garments through the critical path time frame set out each season, working alongside the product developer and in house atelier on any pattern or construction issues through the development stages and being involved in the fit sessions at each stage

  • Ensuring the garments achieve the standards set out by the brand for quality and make standards, using your technical knowledge to advise on suitable methods.

  • Manage and create the Tech Packs to include all sample details

  • Ensuring clear and concise fit comments are relayed to the relevant team or manufacturer for the next sample to be actioned and ensure any queries are replied to in a prompt manner, all the way through to bulk

  • Close liaison with the factories within the UK and offshore

  • Manage and be hands on through the QC process with the factories.


    About you…

    The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience of working within a luxury or premium brand, and of working with an in house Atelier.

  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting as well as confident with driving the fit meetings to achieve the desired fit.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and a high level of communication with the factories and in house team

  • Experience of working across both CMT and FF production coupled with the ability to build successful relationships with the factories.

  • A strong team member who can also work well on your own as required.

  • Flexible attitude and a strong work ethic. Some travel may be involved with this role.
