Your new company
My client are a well-established company who supply to the high street and are based in the East Midlands area. They are looking for a confident Account Manager/Buyer to join the team in their head offices to help build a range and present it to the buyers.
Your new role
You will be working independently on new product development and have knowledge of the UK retail market, being able to apply this to a specific range development for the customer. You will be working with a team of customer buyers and assisting them on various elements of the role including range planning, fabrications and general product development. You will also be interpreting data so understanding of retail data is essential to be successful in the role. The role will also involve communication with Sourcing, Design, Merchandising and QC.
What you'll need to succeed
Excel experience is essential as this is a primary function of this role as you will be using it on a daily basis, creating and using pivot tables. You will need to have strong organisational and communication skills for this position. You will be working in a customer team environment but you will also be working independently within the role and sometimes in an intense pressured environment, so you need to be self-motivated and passionate with this position.
