The role of the Wholesale Branch Merchandiser is to manage the European retail outlets, ensuring the product offer is in-line with Europe's retail strategy.

The business is a leading fashion apparel retail umbrella which includes a number of well-known brands across menswear and womenswear, with a product offer spanning across America, Asia and Europe. A leader in its field, it has a presence in over 40 countries globally. The UK headquarters are based in Woking, Surrey.


Reporting into the Head of Branch Merchandising for the UK business, the key focus for the Wholesale Branch Merchandiser will be to manage 8 Retail Outlet stores and monitor the profit and loss to deliver sustainable and profitable growth in alignment with the European business strategy. The key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Create, set and deliver a vision for the Retail stores development
  • Set, communicate and monitor the Company and Retail stores objectives to Store Managers
  • Setting Sales and KPI targets by store to achieve overall Retail stores objectives
  • Drive sales and profitability whilst minimising costs
  • Provide the Store Managers with regular reports & updates with which they can make effective & informed business decisions for their Store
  • Liaise with Planning and Forecasting Team to secure a regular supply of stock to maximise sales potential by supply them with an annual sales forecast projection
  • Achieve stock control targets
  • Monitor the Retail stores P&L on a monthly basis
  • Use of Retail Outlet specific merchandising package
  • Ensure the visual presentation in store represents the Brands within Company guidelines
  • Recruit a high performing team of Managers and Deputy Managers who create a positive environment that results in a stable and motivated workforce
  • Manage and drive team performance through identifying training and development needs
  • Maintain and increase standards of Customer Service
  • Hold regular business reviews with Retail Outlet Centre management team on the stores performance and develop a professional working relationship with them
  • Annual budget/planning process
