We have partnered with an exceptional British Accessories brand, seeking a Wholesale Merchandiser to join them on a 12-18 month basis.

Key Responsibilities/Role Purpose
*Attend sales meetings with key account managers when necessary and create strong relationships with customer merchandisers.
*Review line cards on a weekly basis and re-forecast and plan orders when required.
*Attending intake & dispatch / stock availability / shipping control / customer - channel trade meetings / customer meetings / account set up meetings / update meeting with sales team / ad hoc meetings
*To assist the Head of Merchandising to ensure maximum profit potential is achieved by managing inventory, delivering a product offer that exceeds customers' expectation through effective supply chain management, i.e. the right stock, right place, right time.
*Inventory management - keep tight controls of UK warehouse inventory to ensure the brand stock holding is kept to optimum levels.
*Liaising with factories to maintain production space.
*To monitor the sales/stock levels across 'By Channels' within the business to ensure there is always the right mix and orders going forward are reviewed and amended accordingly.
*Identify order requirements for both catalogue and customer specific lines and work with the Assistant Merchandiser to ensure that orders are raised to meet the required delivery dates.
*Work with Sales Teams to identify opportunities to improve sales performance.
*To contribute to profit management through forecasting and recommendations on actions.
*Be aware of slow selling lines and suggest actions.
*Update Imports team regularly and ensure necessary information is passed to all other areas of the business by communication at all levels.
*Work closely with the Merchandise Team on critical path management and product planning.
*Liaising with UK and International sales teams to forecast quantities required for the global market and ensuring buys are in-line with their budget.
*Maintain planning calendar dates and ensure deadlines are met.
*Effectively communicate with the Shanghai Office in order to maintain critical path dates.
*Manage production planning with factories.
*Manage the Assistant Merchandiser on a daily basis and ensure that they are given the required training and support.
