Your new role
As a Merchandiser you will drive the department strategy with the Buyer - Planning, managing and achieving the targeted measures of Sales, Stock turn, Markdown and Profit.
You will also manage the in-season Open-to-Buy down to category level using the WSSI and key line information.
by effective Range Planning and Markdown control, manage Terminal Stocks to keep within budgeted levels.
Consistently manage the supply base, monitoring Commitment and Intake, and to work closely with the supplier to minimise lead times, create flexibility and improve availability.You will also train, motivate and develop the Assistant Merchandiser and MAA's.
What you'll need to succeed
Manipulate OTB and intake so as to maintain stock levels by Department and Category in line with monthly Closing Stock targets as defined on WSSIs.
-Improve accuracy of both sales and intake forecasts.
-Measure: Average Weekly Variance to Merch.Plan Forecasts (Tolerance +/- 10%)
-Liaise with the Stock Distribution Manager to improve, the accuracy of allocation and replenishment.
-Improve New Store range availability
-With Buyer, provide monthly competition reports supported by price benchmarking matrix. To be reviewed formally each quarter.
-Maintain and develop an assertive, dynamic culture in the team, with particular emphasis on the role of Assistant Merchandiser.
-Undertake branch visits during the year to ensure awareness of our business, market and competition.
