As an Assistant Designer in Boyswear, your remit will span Boys clothing from toddlers to teens. What’s more, by working directly with our factories, our fantastic team is now developing up to 80% of our designs in-house.

At Sainsbury’s you’ll have the opportunity to be part of every aspect of the design process. You’ll be involved in the preparation for key meetings, liaise with suppliers, and support in trend research, in addition to administrative design duties including technical specification packs.

Perhaps most excitingly of all, with the guidance and support of an experienced Designer, you will assist in the designing of commercial, competitive and functional aspects of our products. You’ll demonstrate understanding of the latest trends and customer needs with real creative flair.

To join us, you’ll need a passion for creating inspiring products. To really hit the ground running, you will ideally need a background in retail. You demonstrate a commercial understanding with a keen eye for detail, You have what it takes to deliver key research and present new ideas with confidence. We’re also looking for someone who works well as part of a team so great relationship building skills are vital. We’ll also expect you to be competent using software including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
