Production Manager - The Role:

*Liaise with suppliers, cross-costing where necessary to get the best prices for the brand's products and to achieve or better margin requirements.
*Using knowledge across global supply base, make recommendations for new factories as appropriate.
*Build effective working relationships with the Company's suppliers.
*Review/monitor performance against critical path, working with creative department to ensure adherence to timescales on product creation and development.
*Continually review seasonal performance of the company's suppliers in terms of quality of garments, pricing, critical path adherence. Take steps to improve/rectify where necessary.
*New specs are compiled from design briefs, to be dispatched with initial design sheets.
*Samples are measured and checked for quality etc.
*Ensure all production sheets are complete with design, development and technical information.
*Chase any outstanding approvals and submissions and advise the merchandiser of any possible problems that could affect lead times.
*Lead by example with a positive, can-do attitude to problem-solving.

Production Manager - The Candidate:

*Solid production experience of denim/casual wear.
*Good understanding of garment costing / pricing and negotiation.
*Solid experience working across product development, garment technology.
*Experience of setting and working towards critical paths.
*Strong factory knowledge and experience of managing effective relationships with suppliers in Europe and Asia.
*Ability to effectively build and manage key internal relationships, particularly with merchandising and design.
*Experience of managing others, ensuring efforts are aligned to objectives and priorities.
*Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
*Able to undertake international travel if required.
*Credible and authoritative, yet approachable and open to new ideas.
