We currently have an exciting opportunity for an established VM Assistant to join our Head Office Visual Merchandising team.

In this pivotal position you will be responsible for creating and distributing all visual communications through to the stores.

The Role:

  • It is the visual merchandise assistants’ responsibility to familiarise themselves and be aware of the business trading stance from week to week, to ensure that VM instructions are appropriate.  Taking lead and direction from the visual merchandise manager.

  • To be aware of industry seasonal styling and VM trends in order to keep Jaeger’s VM looking fresh and inspiring.

  • To visual merchandise to high standards in stores and in windows of focus stores and to communicate these standards to other stores.  Supporting the vision of the Visual Merchandise manager.

  • Coordinate window changes in key London locations, ensuring product selection is inspiring and freelance teams are managed.

  • Coordinate product selection for Regional windows with Buying and Merchandising.  This is to be based on the store profile and trading stance.

  • Liaise with merchandising on trading stance and promotions, updating store communication of floor layouts and windows.

  • Support Visual Merchandiser and Manager with the ordering of new equipment and mannequins for the business and for new store openings.

  • Support VM Manager with VM manual updates/communications to stores.

  • Support the VM on the project management and VM of special events such as press days, wholesale showrooms based on the international calendar (January and June).

  • Maintain a well organised diary and VM critical paths. Help to manage budgets for freelance costs, capex and special projects.


  • Strong experience gained within Visual Merchandising (Head Office) ideally within the fashion retail sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in writing visual guidelines for stores
  • Experience in planning and execution of new store openings
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver against tight deadlines
  • This person should have a 'can do' attitude, being flexible at all times
