Head of Sales – The Job Specification

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a uniquely placed manufacturer and supplier with a portfolio of brands, based in Leicester.  We are looking to recruit someone who shares their passion, vision, values and commitment, and to provide the one stop shop solution from everyday fashion to high end premium.  Previous fashion, knitted fabrics or textiles experience is essential.

Head of Sales – The Job Specification

  • To develop existing business and future opportunities within the UK &  International market
  • Plan activity with accounts in good time to meet sampling needs and production needs
  • Assist in improvement of private label development process and ensure successful implementation
  • Manage seasonal requirements & continuity business: from concept through to order delivery coordinating activity to meet the customer’s requirements on a commercial basis.
  • Work closely with the design and sample development teams to develop commercial ranges
  • Ensure sign offs on samples is achieved to ensure accurate production.
  • Develop business on commercial basis; minimums, prices, samples, design work.
  • Report performance by Sales and Orders on a monthly basis
  • Manage exposure to stock holdings on Key Accounts
  • Work closely with Head of Sales – Brands to maximise opportunities, manage exhibitions, and share market information
  • Contribute to new ERP systems
  • Identify opportunities for future business and develop relationships, managing the distribution blueprint
  • To ensure a high level of service and delivery is offered with accurate and timely specifications.

Head of Sales – The Person Specification

  • Proven track record in Sales / Account Management within supplier, private label supply environment. Varied backgrounds accepted including womens, menswear, accessories, knitwear, socks & hosiery. 
  • Experience of range development, sample production and seasonal order cycle
  • Key Account management
  • Mix of UK and International Sales would be advantageous
  • Experience in delivering sales and maximising sales opportunities
  • Strategic and tactical in thought process
  • Understands the critical path process for production and supply
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive – driven to change things for the better.
  • Idea/solution provider
  • Attentive to detail, highly organised with innate administration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
