Your role: International Wholesale Manager

Your manager: International Director

  • Responsible for the management of the White Stuff International Wholesale business
  • Accountable for delivering profitable sales and customer satisfaction across all international wholesale markets
  • Identify international wholesale commercial opportunities and risks and implement/manage action plans
  • Work collaboratively as part of a cross functional team and build strong relationships with wholesale agents

International Wholesale Performance

  • Manage the performance of the International Wholesale business to deliver the required sales and margin KPIs and in line with agreed strategy
  • Where partners supply retail sales data, regularly and robustly review to ensure opportunities/risks are actioned upon
  • Regularly review wholesale mark up in light of changing financial variables to ensure optimal profit delivery and sustainable partnerships
  • Partner with Finance to ensure regular and robust review of wholesale aged debt and regular review of partner financial health

International Wholesale Proposition and Customer Experience

  • Support each seasonal selling event in HO and understand the assortment strategy and opportunity to ensure International needs are incorporated and feed in ongoing International wholesale operational and commercial needs to seasonal wholesale process
  • Leverage International Wholesale agents to ensure selling tools used to maximum effect to deliver strong wholesale selling proposition
  • Partner with Wholesale Operations and cross functional team to ensure product delivery and upsell both pre and in season - right product, right place, right time, in full
  • Work with our International Wholesale partners in their markets, embedding our brand into their organisation. Leverage wholesale best practice and White Stuff tools to guide partners to deliver compelling in store proposition and execution to drive local sales and margin.
  • Partner with Wholesale Operations to support in issue resolution affecting International wholesale customers


People and Relationships

  • Build strong relationships and account manage International Wholesale agents/partners to deliver partner satisfaction and be active in the market through regular partner visits and meetings
  • Build and maintain strong, open and collaborative relationships with all relevant WS functions


  • Ensure strong governance (reports, meetings, decision making, comms) in place for managing international wholesale performance and risk
  • Prepare International Wholesale analysis and reports as required



  • Ensure robust action plans in place to grow current markets with existing partners
  • Manage the set up process for new international wholesale partners
  • Partner with Wholesale Operations to identify wholesale model opportunities that make our international wholesale model more attractive and more robust to take on new business
  • Ensure any relevant wholesale market, model, competitor and customer insights, trends and benchmarks are communicated back to inform future plans
  • Considerable International wholesale account management experience, preferably including mainland Europe and within the apparel sector
  • Strong relationship and partner management experience
  • Track record of being a strong brand ambassador and representing/selling the brand in-market
  • An international outlook and cultural awareness with the ability to work across multiple markets and stay up to date on market trends and competitor activity
  • Sound understanding of a wholesale operating model to support cross functional working relationships, including experience of seasonal selling events/appointments, merchandising/assorting, supply chain operations, customer service, local marketing, working with external agents and distribution partners, third party online
  • Prior experience in project planning and mapping/improving business process, with ability to build critical paths and cross functional action plans
  • Ability to work with and influence key stakeholders within a matrix organization, including Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, IT and Logistics
  • Ability to produce financial forecasts, commercial analysis, presentations and commentaries when required

This role is based within our HQ in Oval, London and we expect international travel to be a requirement, on average, of 2 days within 10.
