We have an amazing opportunity with a luxury brand based in London who are looking for a Product Development Manager who will manage the end to end development of the RTW and Accessories collections. Lead and motivate the Product Development team in all aspects of product innovation, quality and calendar. Reporting into Development and Production Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Engage and motivate the development team to deliver luxury level product.
* Train and mentor team members, developing consistency of work at all team levels.
Manage performance reviews and objective setting for all team members.
*Create and maintain the yearly calendar for both the design and development
*Creation and management of the seasonal critical path for each developed style,
booking spaces with manufacturers for sample making and providing target prices.
*Establishing strong relationships with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new
options as required.
*Following the development of mid to high complexity styles within the range from
initial design allocation through to production sign off.
*Establish and drive ongoing production quality standards
*Participation in SMS review w/ design and technical, working with development to
ensure consistencies are kept throughout the collection and production feasibilities
are considered.
*Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement from show samples to
*Participation in hand over meetings of styles and raw materials to production.
*Seasonal management of sealing process to required production critical path.
*Involvement in bespoke, VIP, client orders and special projects as required.
*Identify and implement efficient ways of working.
*Develop development strategy and priorities for business leads.


*Degree level and / or relevant experience.
*Experience within an luxury apparel or related industry is essential
*Proven ability of manufacturing and luxury quality management.
*RM and product knowledge.
*2 years + experience of managing a team.
*PLM / PDM experience would be an advantage + MS office skills.
*Professional demeanor in the office and when handling outside contacts as well as
motivated to make smart judgment calls for the company
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who builds positive
relationships both with internal and external contacts.
*Successful candidates must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
*Performing all duties with tact, diplomacy and discretion
*Ability to combine challenges of working in a creative and spontaneous environment
where each day is different
*Excellent organisation and time management skills while maintaining attention to
*Ability to prioritise, manage multiple deadlines and cope with heavy workloads.
