Your new company
You will be working for an award-winning home textiles company that has been long-established in the home textiles market. They supply product around the world and are specialists in their area. You will be joining a busy design department, working alongside their friendly and creative design team. You will be working to create inspiring print designs to be used within their product range. The team is led by a supportive Studio Manager who can offer specialist training on AVA CAD/CAM for the right candidate.
Your new role
You will assist in the creation and design development of printed fabrics using AVA CAD software. You will assist with the layout of the company showroom and will influence the planning and execution of photo-shoots. You will have daily communication with print houses, fabric manufacturers and other suppliers and customers on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to travel within the UK and abroad. Overall, you will work in a supportive and friendly environment, surrounded by other talented designers.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a creative designer with some demonstrable experience in a similar role who is passionate about interior trends who has a good eye for colour and colour matching with the ability to create commercial designs that customers will desire to have in their homes. Your background could be already within home textiles, or fashion print and pattern design, wallpaper or greetings cards and stationery. You will be able to work well within a team as well as independently and have excellent communication, administration and presentation skills. An understanding of AVA CAD/CAM software is desirable but not essential as the client can offer AVA training. If you don't have an understanding of AVA, you should have experience of Photoshop or Illustrator. Ideally you will have a driving license and access to a car.
