Due to continued growth and success, this leading ladies wear manufacturer is looking for a soft separates designer to join its team.

 

We are looking a passionate and creative designer.  You must have strong talent, understand fast-fashion, have an interesting edge to but are commercial

 

Job Description:

·         Be a talented designer with strong drawing skills and a creative eye

·         Have a keen eye for trend and street style - with a good awareness of catwalk, aspirational brands, what is in store and cultural trends

·         Understand the production process, to create beautiful garments that perform well in manufacturing

·         Be adaptable to different handwriting styles and customer bases, across multi-product

·         Have an understanding of pricing structure, inc trim and fabric costs, in relation to different customer price-points

·         Have business acumen to be able to design strong, commercial garments that sell and to follow up with best seller updates

·         Be confident and be able to communicate with buyers and present ideas in meetings

·         Be a strong team player that shares ideas and works well with others

·         Be charismatic and hard-working

 

The company works with most of the high street, including Oasis, Warehouse, Topshop, Miss S, ASOS, Coast, Next, amongst others.  They supply many departments within these brands and produce most product types, including Occasion dresses, Going-out dresses, Workwear dresses, Soft dresses, Tailoring, Skirts, Blouses etc. 

 

They have their own factories and sample room in Europe and the UK, they source fabrics and trims from all over the world.

 

Experience working with the UK fashion retailers is required for this role as the successful candidate will be working closely with the factories on garment and fabric development

 

This role will suit someone who currently works within a supplier environment
