A home textiles company in Manchester with a new opportunity for a Bedding Designer / Home Textiles Designer
Your new company
You will be working for a company that has been long-established in the homeware market. They supply product around the world and are specialists in their area. You will be joining a large design studio, working alongside their welcoming and creative design team. You will be responsible for creating ranges of inspiring Bedding Designs using Photoshop / Illustrator and AVA. As a company, they are going strength to strength and are doing very well, and because of their excellent performance they are looking to add an additional Designer to their well-equipped and friendly studio.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the creation of print designs for home textiles, particularly bedding, across various design styles. You will communicate with factories via email, phone and video conference. You will attend customer meetings accompanied by the Design Manager or Senior Designer. You will complete competitive shops and inspiration trips to keep your trend and market awareness updated.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have some demonstrable experience in a home textile / print and pattern / surface print design role. You will be passionate about interior trends who has a good eye for colour and colour matching with the ability to create commercial designs that customers will desire to have in their homes. You will be able to work well within a team and independently and have excellent communication, administration and presentation skills. You will be working on a range of accounts, so some prior experience of managing a customer account, critical path and emails would be beneficial. You will require a driving license and access to a car.
