The Role:        

We’re in the thick of a global digital transformation and we’re very excited. As we continue on our journey we’re looking for a fiercely strong, proactive and smart Digital Merchandising Manager to join us on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave, to help us continue to carve our newly formed online merchandising function and lead a small team to deliver our business goals

You’ll have solid online merchandising experience, combined with an awesome analytical mind and can-do attitude. You’ll undoubtedly have a successful track record of digital merchandising and driving revenue and profit as well as being a bright, independent thinker, who isn’t afraid to make decisions and inspire the team from the front. The Responsibilities:

Planning:

  • Seasonal merchandising planning and reporting
  • Stock orders, intake management and delivery schedule management
  • Oversee inventory, investigate and correct stock discrepancies
  • Support core merchandise function range plan & adjust OTB based on product performance analysis
  • Liaise with E-commerce and Marketing team ensure products are available on line and pushed in ads
  • Oversee intake and prioritisation of UKWEB POs to ensure they arrive on time

Forecasting:

  • Analyse and forecast sales and stocks for relevant markets making recommendations for action
  • Work with marketing & finance to forecast site & product plan using all department channels & site kpis on a weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Work with marketing & finance to reforecast site performance as needed based on department performance

Trading:

  • Management of sales and stock to ensure sufficient stock is bought to maintain availability and maximise sales; achieving budget sales and margin
  • Meet the online sales targets through stock management and ensuring management of fast and slow selling lines
  • Manage stock clearance through seasonal and ongoing sales
  • Liaising with the warehouse to facilitate smooth & efficient product movement
  • Liaise with business functions (warehouse, merchandising) the impact of trading, marketing and promotional activity
  • Ensure current products are online and information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Work with the digital marketing team to push products with high availability/slow lines
  • Work with marketing & trading teams to identify trading gaps & identify key business opportunities

Reporting and analysis:

  • Using in-house systems and web CMS, produce daily and weekly reports to identify sales opportunities
  • Manage the production & analysis of weekly, monthly and seasonal review packs
  • Measure performance against plan, identifying trading risks & opportunities
  • Reforecast sales, transactions and returns monthly
  • Work with marketing to create a monthly review of sales, stock & site performance to create a forward action plan to either mitigate sales deficit or maximise sales opportunities
  • Produce historical analysis to support planning decisions and to influence the mix of product online

The Person:

  • Solid experience within Ecommerce Merchandising sphere, ideally within apparel or footwear
  • Commercially savvy with a strong affinity to womenswear fashions and trends. Passion for brands, designers and a natural bias to seeking out the latest trends, articles, exhibitions etc. that lead to an informed view of the womenswear market and its dynamics
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment, able to adapt and flex. with the business
  • Great team player
  • Numerically strong and financially aware
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Resilient and confident character (happy to articulate with senior stakeholders)
  • Ability to work within a fast paced organization (and a great sense of humour!)
