Elite Associates have partnered with a beautiful contemporary accessories brand that is launching RTW to recruit a senior womenswear designer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and already very successful business with a cult following among the fashion crowd.

Responsible for design development and research for Women's Ready-to-Wear collections
Research seasonal themes and inspirations, in collaboration with the Creative Director
Work with the Creative Director to develop initial concepts, gather trends and develop mood boards
Manage the RTW creative process from defining concepts, themes, colours, editing Collections following up prototypes development, fittings and approval
Maintain the design critical path timeline.
Research market trends and styles, ensuring comprehensive product and competitor knowledge
Ensure schedule is met for delivery of collections.
Ensure that product is consistent with market trends and adheres to the Brand aesthetic and strategy.
Translate the chosen concepts into drawings in Illustrator
Develop the technical sheets to be sent to the factory
Put together the collection overview and range plan
Make any necessary changes until the design is agreed with the team and is ready for production
Work closely with the Production Manager on collection realisation
Participate in the fittings in-house, manage the changes to designs and the new sketches
Brainstorm new concepts with the team.

Key Requirements:

Must have a modern feminine hand writing with strong draping and tailoring design and construction knowledge - Coming from a Contemporary/Designer RTW background.
Knowledge of leather goods is highly desirable but not necessary.
Solid understanding of garment construction and production
Exceptional taste and creativity levels as well as technical knowledge
Ability to adapt to frequent change
A strong team player
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Excellent experience in developing, organization and sampling; working with European factories
Collection range planning knowledge and a commercial approach
Market awareness of high-end contemporary product
Strong computer skills (Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel)
Excellent level of attention to detail
Adaptable, fast and proactive
3+ years relevant experience, specifically in contemporary womenswear.
Strong ability to work autonomously; keen time management
Ability to work well with tight deadlines.
