Wearable Technology Customer Advisor
A wearable tech company in Manchester is looking for a Product Expert to help customers use their products
Your new company
Would you like to move away from a retail customer-facing role into an office environment with set standard working hours and no weekend working? A technology company has a new vacancy for a Product Expert to come in and be the fountain of knowledge for all things wearable tech. Imagine a Genius Bar for wearable tech, but it's office-based. You'll be working for a very well-known and highly respected company in one of their satellite offices in Manchester alongside a really friendly team of people.
Your new role
In a nutshell, the role involves helping their customers and their stores understand and use their devices if they've just bought their product and they either don't know how to use it, or are experiencing technical issues. The products are incredibly high-spec (for example, one of the products they offer costs around £5,000). You will provide information and advice and if they are having a technical issue they can return it to you and you will do some testing to determine how the product is performing and if there's any problems, if there is an issue you will then pass this over to the repairs team. You'll basically help people get the best out of what they've bought.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be passionate about technology. It's important you are self-motivating, organised, professional, positive and have excellent communication skills. Most importantly you will need to have the ability to keep your cool when teaching people new things about technology. If you get frustrated when trying to talk someone through how to do something on their phone or other device, unfortunately this wouldn't be the role for you. The ideal background for the successful candidate would be someone who is currently working in a phone, electrical or technology store that is used to helping customers use their devices, but is now looking for the next step in their career, move into an office-based role and stop working weekends.
What you'll get in return
As well as working for a leading name in wearable technology, you will receive a salary of between £19,000 and £22,500 depending on experience plus a host of other excellent benefits. You will work in an office environment, with normal 9-5 office hours. Free parking onsite.
