A temporary opportunity has arisen within a great luxury lifestyle brand for a HR advisor to cover an interim period.

The role is to provide general HR support to the retail business - including all existing stores, concessions and new store openings. The advisor will be involved in employee relations, recruitment, retention, performance management and succession planning etc.

It is essential for this role that suitable applicants have a good working knowledge of all aspects of HR, including, employment law, recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, implementing policies and procedures. A long with this you should be a strong communicator and have the ability to be empathetic and influence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

*Employee relations - Keep up to date with current and future employment legislation and proactively work with the HR manager to put in place HR solutions, policies and procedures, minimising any risk to the business.
*Proactively support managers to handle long-term sickness issues and ensure timely progress is made in accordance with legislation and commercial/cultural approach.
*Accountable for responding to employee relations queries within 24 hours of it being raised.
*Advise, coach and support managers with conducting disciplinary, appeal and grievance hearings up to and including dismissals.
*Recruitment - Working with management teams on team structure and development - focusing on succession planning as well as ensuring all job descriptions are up to date and evolving alongside the expansion of roles within retail.
*Labour turnover -create action plans to work with area managers on key retention issues.
*Development -work with area managers and L+D team to understand key individual/team requirements and create plans.

Suitable candidates should have previous experience in a generalist HR environment and be CIPD qualified or working towards the qualifications. As the role is temporary suitable candidates must be able to interview and start immediately.
