What the role is

The key objective of the role is to provide support to the Market Analysis Manager and manage the Market Analysis Assistants within the team.  The Pricing Analyst would be responsible for ensuring that there is full visibility of the customer landscape and put forward considered suggestions to the team with a view to make a positive impact on the customer journey, sales, margin and profit. 

What you’ll be doing

•    Analyse and review products to optimise sales and profit for the business
•    Ensure pricing competitiveness across business 
•    Understanding Margin and Terms with a view to improve on a constant basis 
•    Educate buying, merchandising and wider business on market analysis, decisions and impacts
•    Identify and utilise both internal and external data
•    Contribute to forward planning and forecasting
•    On-going analysis of external market with suggested impacts on the business reviewing actions taken and feeding back results
•    Management of assistants within the team, motivating and mentoring as well as providing regular feedback and encouraging career progression
•    Streamline documents and implementing processes to improve efficiency pro-actively working to better the technical advances of the team
•    Awareness of own career progression 
•    Presenting market analysis and proposing actions and, where necessary, business critical recommendations to senior members of the business
•    Collaborating with teams across the wider business, including Buying, Merchandising, IT and Trading 

About you

•    Strong analyst and problem solver
•    Advanced excel skills
•    Previous experience in pricing/e-commerce 
•    Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
•    Management experience preferred but not essential 
•    Highly confident in own decisions and putting them forward to management
•    Ability to read and interpret business reports and documents
•    Strong attention to detail with analysis 
•    Good judgement and decision making skills
•    Strong customer and luxury brand awareness
•    Pro-Active attitude and Self-Motivated 
•    Exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient
•    Time keeping skills with ability to meet stringent deadlines
•    Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
•    Team-player, encouraging and supporting junior members of the team
