We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Home Furnishings Buying team. Previous proven experience of working within a Retail Buying environment is essential, preferably within Home Furnishings.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical and organised and will also be educated to degree level with excellent PC skills, including Word and Excel and strong literacy and numerical skills.
The ideal applicant would have sound knowledge on sourcing and developing a commercial balanced range in line with the brand strategy and varying needs of the market, ensuring that this meets departmental strategy and financial targets.
You will have a passion for Home Furnishings and an affinity to Laura Ashley with a fantastic eye for product. You will be commercial and aware of external influences and would be expected to collate data to assist in product development and identify potential opportunities to drive your department forward.
You will ensure the on-time delivery of launch and establish effective supplier strategy whilst continually monitoring performance and re-negotiating costs in order to maximise profits to the business.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to network and influence at all levels are essential as is the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
