I am keen to speak to Planning Assistant Merchandisers who are numbers driven and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. My client is looking for an individual to provide an in-depth analytical and strategic support for the creation of robust plans for the business. To be a key point of contact across functions. To develop and implement financial plans, monitoring the performance of sales, stock, and profit from top-line to store level
Tasks & Responsibilities
Store Planning-
Develop and set annual and weekly financial sales targets by store/department/season alongside space and stock targets for Own Buy and external Businesses.
Calculate department space and linear specifications for all stores based on space-to-sales ratios, densities and other market factors. Liaise with Retail Op's to ensure that planned space is accurately executed and reported on.
Coordinate the opening stock packages for all new and modernised stores providing sales and space specifications to the Retail and Visual teams.
Provide Finance and Retail teams with forecasts proposals in season for new and mod stores at top-line and by department.
Ensure critical path is followed in line with B&M planning, and deadlines are met.
Manage the Planning software Maple Lake (QA) for stores providing the business with visibility of weekly phased sales targets.

Product Planning:
*Deliver concise assortment plan templates by department each season for B&M teams to utilise in range planning.
*Issue sales plans and maintain a tiered grading structure for range planning/stock allocations.
*Work with Profile and B&M teams to issue Range Plans/Tiering in line with critical path that match sales objectives.
*Ensure consistency of use of planning tools across the B&M teams. All teams to use the range plan process in order to roll up to a Brand view.
*Provide analytical insight on KPIs and planning metrics to facilitate the accurate completion of range plans.
*Analyse seasonal and monthly Range Plan outputs and produce roll ups for review, highlighting issues for resolution
*Co-ordinate with the teams the inclusion of Digital, Wholesale and International seasonal sales and option plans to provide a total Brand view
*Liaise with systems when issues arise - be point of expertise for B&M and systems
*Play an integral role supporting departments with ad hoc queries, including Buying and Merchandising, Finance, Trading, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing, Property and Retail teams.

Key Experience, Skills & Abilities
*Must have exceptional analytical, numerical & communication skills
*Advanced MS Office skills including Access; experience with planning software desirable
*Robust insight and understanding of retail stock operations
*Ability to engage with various stakeholders across B&M, Digital, Retail, Finance, Wholesale and International
*Adaptability to change, working in a fast paced environment
*Commercial acumen
*Previous experience with store planning desirable
