An excellent opportunity for a Account Manager (Senior Merchandiser) to join a exciting and fast moving fashion company based in Manchester that supplies to well-known high street retailers. It is is rapidly growing in size and due to the influx of orders the client now have a brand new opening for an Account Manager to help manage the Merchandisers and Assistants.

Description

  • Managing the merchandising team who are working on a fast paced key customer account.

  • Ensuring team is accountable for maintaining the flow of accurate data and ensuring that all relevant files, Critical Paths and Sample test reports are kept up to date.

  • Ensuring team is accountable for the whole process from sample and development stage, through to production, shipping and delivery. Ensuring all deadlines are met and are in accordance with customer standards.

  • Liaising with Far East and European factories via email and telephone on a daily basis.

  • Attending customer meetings and building customer relationships

  • Checking and approving fit samples.

  • Raising, managing and tracking purchase orders, amending where necessary.

  • Organising required lab dips and bulk fabric submissions for customer approval, and be confident to approve them in house where necessary

  • Booking in stock and setting up product codes.

  • Identifying production and supply chain issues and dealing with any problems/ delays as they arise.

  • Ensure the correct quality submissions are submitted to the customer within lead-times.

  • Enabling approvals on time and ensuring shipment and delivery to customer is on time.

  • Following up any problems / quality issues which arise.

  • Relaying product information between the team - new developments or changes to orders.

  • Relay product information between customers and factories by telephone and e-mail.

  • Working with the designers, garment techs, suppliers and customer.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role in a fast paced business.

Profile

About you

Have 2 years experience in a similar role within fashion.

Ideally be a Fashion Graduate (Buying and Merchandising Degree or similar).

Ideally have experience with liaising with the Far East.

Highly organized and can handle a busy workload in a fast paced demanding business

Fully computer literate with strong Excel and Word skills.

Able to follow a critical path.

Must have strong attention to detail
