About the company

My client is a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer with it’s own spinning mill that produces high quality industrial yarns from wool, cashmere, cotton and other different yarn blends.

About the role

The European Head of Sales will be responsible for driving sales in Europe by targeting fashion retailers, knitting companies and weaving mills across different territories. The candidate will build strengthen existing business relationships but also will be able to drive business developments and expand the portfolio of customers.

            Main responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the Marketing strategy in line with the Business Unit (BU) Vision, Mission, Values and business model
  • Provide accurate revenue growth forecasts in a timely manner and meet agreed revenue and margin targets in assigned BU
  • Understand and apply the management and leadership tools and methods of the Group
  • Ensure effectiveness of all people processes to achieve high people performance at all levels in the Marketing function
  • Drive effectiveness and continuous improvement of all key performance indicators applicable to the function
  • Be able to successfully sell and deliver all of the BU ́s current and future products and services
  • Foster strong, loyal client relationships by giving both the customer and the executing team strategic direction
  • Promote company culture within team(s) through internal and external events, kick-offs, meetings, etc.
  • Ensure a strong presence on the market through regular and direct communication with customers
  • Grow customer base of Grade A & B customers in the assigned geographies
  • Put in place the required systems to ensure Marketing Excellence
  • Act as a “Role Model” in living and promoting the core values and corporate culture of the company both internally and externally

About the candidate

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Marketing or Sales position in the Textile (Yarns) Industry including at least 2 years at senior management level
  • Solid international experience in business development and/or direct Marketing
  • Previous exposure to international customers
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Proven people management skills
