About the team:
The Merchandising team play a key role in maximising their profitability by predicting and monitoring sales trends and accurately controlling stock levels.


The role:

As an Assistant Merchandiser you are responsible for assisting the Senior Merchandiser in the day to day running of the Merch department.

Managing commitment to ensure on time delivery through working with the Buying team and liaising with the Warehouse.

Liaising directly with the Marketing team to ensure stock availability for launch.

Line card management. Responsibility to ensure that all key lines are fully stocked in all markets.

Forecasting sales and stock level to achieve sales plans and margin/profit for the category.

Working alongside the Senior Merchandiser and agreeing the strategy and targets for the category.

Executing markdown strategy.

Manage and Develop a Merchandising Admin Assistant - overseeing the allocation process.

Analyse sales patterns, trends and history. Make commercial suggestions to influence future buys.

Management and Updating WSSI
Required experience and skills:

Commercial awareness and understanding of the market.

A genuine interest in retail.

Proactive and positive approach to problem solving.

Strong communication skills.

A methodical and logical approach.

Ability to handle heavy workloads and prioritise tasks.

A flexible approach with an ability to take initiative and respond to changing priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
