Michael Page are working with an online homewares retailer who are looking for a buying admin assistant. This is a position that would be perfect for someone who is looking to develop a career in buying and product development.

Client Details

My client are a well established retailer based in London. They are currently experiencing a high growth volume and are looking for a Buying Admin Assistant to join their team and they continue to grow.

Description

The key responsibilities of the buying admin assistant will include -

  • Creating and circulating daily, weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Creating new products for publication on the web site
  • Adding appropriate accessories and promotions to website products
  • Working with wider teams and suppliers to add new products to the website ensuring accuracy throughout the process
  • Merchandising the website with promotions and content while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Monitoring competitor prices with the assistance of a bespoke pricing tool and recommending appropriate actions to the category management team
  • Briefing marketing activity including customer e-shots, website changes and key promotions to the marketing team
  • Monitoring stock and take-up on key promotions and working with category managers to resolve any issues
    Liaison with the customer services teams and follow-up on enquiries

Profile

The successful buying admin assistant will -

  • Have experience in a commercial role and/or retail experience
  • Numerate with good analytical skills
  • Excellent PC skills, in particular Excel to an intermediate level (key requirement)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good level of commercial awareness
  • Ability to build relationships with suppliers and distributor
  • A determination to succeed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced,changing environment and to tight deadlines

Job Offer

My client is looking to pay up to £20,000 + package dependant on experience
