Create have partnered with an exciting brand that sells good quality multiproduct clothing aimed at women of all ages who like fashion.

The brand was set up 10 years ago and is currently going from strength to strength having doubled in size in the last 6 months. They currently sell online and have various pop up stores around the UK.

Due to the fast growth of the business they now require help organising the current tech team.

The purpose of the role is to lead creative technical development and be responsible and accountable for product engineering across all product areas within the collection with a focus on responsible sourcing and premium product development.

Lead peer development of the Technical team in building positive relationships, cultivating partnership at all times with suppliers. Acting as a positive role model and mentor demonstrating an understanding and implementation of brand values at all times.
Ensure global brand integrity quality assurance and sustainable ethical trading.

Key accountabilities:

Ensure quality assured supply base, ethical practices and policies in supplier partnership and commitment to continuous improvement with respect, responsibility and accountability. Ensure all product is developed and engineered according to brand direction.

CSR:

Devise CSR strategy, support communication to final goods suppliers, ensuring CSR audit reports are obtained.
Review product specification standards and engineering to ensure best practice
Oversee and ensure CSR compliance documents are maintained and updated.
Draft the Modern Slavery Act Statement to ensure its publication.
Management of the technical and product performance standards

Supplier management:

Drive improved efficiencies and flexibility within existing supply base across all products.
Support supplier management and continuous improvement, ensure up to date supplier manual, with ways of working communicated as appropriate.
Maintain supplier manual standards are regularly updated in line with legislative changes.

Critical path:

Work together in partnership with peers in Buying and Design to maintain business critical path is met.

Technical Development:

Champions consistently high standards of quality assurance in product development throughout a global supply chain.
Manage change and implementation of new technology and construction methods in sample development.
Review and develop new seasonal shapes, ensure improved product performance and fit
Communicates product specification and sealing to ensure 'Best Practice' in product development to include product labelling and material performance testing.

Quality control:

Manage inspection procedures and guidelines for bulk deliveries, communication and reporting.

Key skills:

Demonstrates technical experience in managing, delivering and evaluating premium quality products across multiple areas.
Ability to complete tasks with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to build effective working relationships at all levels both with suppliers and colleagues.
Aware of what is happening now as well as what is likely to happen in the future and making appropriate recommendations to product specifications.
