RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Merchandise Planner is a business partner to the Product and Supply Chain teams. The Merch Planner is tasked with:

Planning and managing the budget figures for the collection

Ensuring compliance with purchasing commitments by product family throughout the season

Ensuring stores have the right stock levels and oversee markdowns to be on budget and avoid overstock and stockouts

Setting objectives and managing residual stocks before and after sales periods to optimise margins

Forecasting potential sales of products

Recommending the Open-To-Buy during the season based on to-date performances and future expectations

Implementing corrective actions in the event of deviations from set objectives

KPIs: Product performance

Product family management (figures, buys, OTBs etc.)

Optimisation of rotation rates

Stock clearance

Volumes, colours, sizes

Comparable sales

Maintained Margin Rate

Initial Mark-up Rate

Average Unit Retail

KEY SKILLS

Able to prioritise

Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Strong analytical skills (statistics, financial modelling, forecasting)

Excellent mastery of management control tools (Excel, Business Objects etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Internet

Ability to summarise information

Good organisational and planning skills

Results- and customer-oriented approach

Able to work as part of a team and with multiple partners

Rigorous and a self-starter

Leadership

Interest in fashion product and the industry

Good levels of English and French required
