Garment Tech / Product Developer with Tailoring experience
Our clients are a well established ,successful clothing supplier who have been servicing bespoke clients for over 30 years.
Develop product in line with the brief ensuring clients expectations are being met , working to critical path from design concept hand over , through to hand over to the production team.
We are now seeking a Garment Tech / Product Developer to join their expanding fast paced team in the Derbyshire region with some Tailoring experience across Ladieswear . You MUST have experience in using PLM and Illustrator . You will be a strong yet level headed problem solver , remaining calm under pressure , strong decision maker , experience in travelling to off shore manufacturers , good team working skills, excellent communication skills both verbal and written , IT literate , motivated and confident in your ability.

Provide support & guidance to the project designer advising on manufacturing methods, construction & block usage.
Risk assessment of category products with design & fabric development team.
Create & launch detailed tech packs to our suppliers using Illustrator & our PLM system - Vision.
Work closely with our supplier base, ensuring that weekly WIP reports are maintained & correct.
Attend weekly project meetings with account managers to update on product status.
Arrange category fit sessions ensuring fit logs are maintained & updated after all fit sessions.
Work with our fabric development team, arranging for product category fabrics & trims to be available for the suppliers to manufacture all green/blue seal sample requirements.
Manage projects critical path expectations.
Attend weekly development meeting with line managers to update on project progress or any risks to the business.
Visits to overseas suppliers.
Arrange for garment, print or trim testing wherever necessary.
Assess samples & their relative trim cards, documenting all measurements & history on the PLM system.
Liaise with our UK & offshore pattern makers & sample rooms on amendments, providing technical support wherever necessary throughout the development process to ensure that all products achieve the brief, fit & quality standard.
Establish customer wearer trail requirements with account managers.
Coordinate meetings with our production team for the handover of sealed products, advising of any risk areas
