They make clothes for the individual not the crowd; with each piece created using luxurious natural fabrics and traditional techniques.

We are seeking a dynamic Junior Merchandiser to join the team. The successful candidate will have worked within the fashion industry or in a similarly creative business that has a retail division.

Job Specification:

The Junior Merchandiser is a key position within the business supporting the Senior Merchandiser and Company Directors to make informed strategic decisions.You will also line manage the MAA and be a role model for the more junior members of the department.

You must be fully IT literate and be familiar with industry merchandising systems. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.

The Junior Merchandiser role is one where analytics, team playing, and excellent communication are essential. You will support and deputise for the Senior Merchandiser in all aspects of the effective running of the department. 

Skills and experience required:

Mathematical ability – comfortable and confident analysing large amounts of data
WSSI knowledge and strong analytical skills
Sound business sense and negotiation skills
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
The ability to cope with the pressure of fast-paced work 
Advanced skills in MS Excel including advanced formulas
Confident in liaising at all levels of the business
Ability to influence and feedback when appropriate

Responsibilities include:
Working daily on Excel and the epos system you will:

Line manage the MAA, 
Generate weekly trade reports, including best sellers, range performance and branch sales.
Keep abreast of the business’ weekly sales and performance
Propose and react to performance to drive sales and optimise stock holding
Produce ad hoc reports for the Design Team and Company Directors as and when required
Assist the Head of Merchandising in re-forecasting the WSSI and commitment and ensure phasing on WSSI is reflected
Oversee the inputting of forward orders onto the system of all collections by the MAA
