We have an excellent career opportunity for a forward thinking committed Account Manager on behalf of our highly successful client within the textile industry . Your responsibilities will be Working on the companies brand you will oversee every aspect of the customer experience, managing both the business and the customer(s) to ensure agreements and contractual obligations are achieved whilst also meeting the commercial needs of the business.
Test and understand the customer’s requirements and create a strategic plan to meet their needs Create, update and implement the annual strategic account plan
Retain the customer’s business and grow it where possible as demonstrated in the strategic plan
Maintain information on a weekly basis in relationship to the position on Critical Path ensuring that the relevant people and departments complete all necessary action to meet the Critical Path at all stages
Build good customer relationships which are profitable and commercial with frequent and open communicationBuild good internal relationships with all departments.
Accurately monitor forecasts, stock levels, budgets and debtors
Manage obsolete product with both client and internal customers
Review information on weekly / monthly KPI’s for reporting to senior management in order to ensure they are up to date with account activities
Hold monthly and quarterly meetings with clients that are accurately documented and show development in line with strategic plans and goals.
Utilise new IT technology and systems to constantly improve the quality of information and relationships with both internal and external customers
Initiate corrective actions in the event of non-conforming activities within the account, where appropriate raising nonconformance in line with ISO procedures
Ensure issues or decisions that will impact on the service agreed with the named customer or is likely to be costly are drawn to a directors attention.
Ensure any commercial change, price changes or discounts, or release of sensitive information is only undertaken with director approval.
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
Proven track record of managing accounts as either an Account Manager or Account Executive role (min 2 years experience)
Strong competence in Microsoft Office suite
Good networking skills
Good organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure to strict targets and deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively and influence people at all levels
Good business/commercial awareness
