Our client is a global brand of womenswear and childrenswear. They are looking for a Assistant Graphic Designer to work with the Fashion Team and be responsible for designing an exciting, innovative, commercial graphics on garments that exceeds customer’s expectations and optimises profitability of the brand.
Assistant Graphic Designer - The Role:
- To present print trends/ graphics to the design team with updates on new print techniques.
- Work with design team to clearly identify and understand the brands core customer, market position and key competitors.
- Produce competitor reports.
- Continuous trend research
- Work on design technical packs under the direction of designer, to produce commercial innovative designs to be sampled by manufacturer partners.
- Communicate with buying and merchandise team weekly to be able to identify best & worst selling lines at product level and ensure that the learnings are applied back to future designs.
- Work on design projects as required by the Directors of the business
Assistant Graphic Designer - The Candidate:
- Sound knowledge of different design systems (Adobe Suite) and Microsoft Office.
- Fabric knowledge
- Possesses an excellent eye for detail
- Experience of designing commercial graphic designs across apparel
- Demonstrates a passion for fashion and flair for developing product
- Ability to identify key trends appropriate to the customer.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task.
- Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation, and enthusiastic about learning new things.
- Approachable, with motivational and inspiring manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Full driving license and own transport is essential.
