About the Job
As part of the Bravissimo Product team you will report into the lead technical for lingerie and swimwear and be responsible for developing Bravissimo's own label swimwear ensuring excellent fit and quality.
Working collaboratively with product buyers, Supply and QA throughout the products lifecycle, You will create all own brand products from concept, developing initial patterns and grades through to production within the critical path whilst being proactive in resolving and implementing solutions to any problems.
You will be responsible for the technical process of developing, cutting and grading patterns whilst creating corresponding size specs to ensure that all ranges are graded and fitted to the standards that are expected of the brand, work closely with our sample machinists to ensure samples are made correctly to the method of construction and to the quality standard required.
Through weekly fitting sessions you will manage the fit/sealing process through the product process documenting accurate and timely technical comments, liaising with suppliers and global factories to produce fit samples into final production to the agreed critical path.
Creating initial technical packs of design specifications, costings, technical construction and garment risk analysis, organise and document wearer trial feedback and review fabric test reports submitted to ensure all fabric /trims are suitable for end use.
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the solid relationships we have with our supply base, factories and agents, monitoring quality and their seasonal performance whilst ensuring product is delivered on time and in full to meet our customers’ expectations. This will involve some international travel.
You will need to have relevant experience in pattern technology and grading. You will have a passion for creating and developing great fitting Lingerie/swimwear and ideally along the way have gathered garment technology experience too. Detail and accuracy are essential so you need to be organised, positive, self-motivated and able to prioritise your work load to ensure our product is delivered on time and in full. You also need to be adaptable and flexible from time to time to meet our business requirements.
Team work is a major requirement in our department and you will be the kind of individual that works well with your colleagues to achieve the best outcome for our customers and someone who offers help and support to others if needed.
You will be working very closely with all our supply bases, so you will need to be effective in building and maintaining strong relationships and have the confidence to deal with any issues that may arise.
You will be challenged daily with this varied role and obsessed with fit and shape of our products but you will be the type of person that finds this a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
