This successful supplier  are seeking an experienced Design Director to lead a team of Designers for young fashion casual clothing for  women, men , girls and boys.

Responsibilities  for the Design Director will include:

Identifying seasonal trends and colours for the young  fashion market.

Providing design direction to the creative team and ensuring commercial  product at the right price points.

Managing budgets and working with the financial and trading directors to agree strategies to achieve revenue  and margins.

Carrying out continuous market research to identify essential product and  range gaps, whilst keeping aware of new trend developments with fabric.

Leading product presentations and working with major retail buyers to develop on trend product that is right for their customer . 

Overseeing critical paths for the development and sampling of styles.

With the sales team taking responsibility for achieving business revenue and resolving  day to day problems .

The Person sought:

You will currently be working as a Design Director or Head of Design . and be accustomed to managing  creative teams, setting the vision and taking commercial responsibility . Experience  young trend led casual  fashion product is essential .  Ladies or Menswear experience . If you have also worked with  children's wear that will also be of interest especially if this includes designing product under licence.  Private label supplier or multiple retail experience is required.   Some overseas  travel will be expected  when it is safe to do so.
