Fabric Production Coordinator - Luxury Fashion

Advanced working knowledge of Navision is a must to be considered for this role.

The Role :

  • Create and maintain fabric files and input fabric details onto internal systems ensuring all codes, colour references and descriptions are correct
  • Work closely with head of design to ensure a smooth handover from development to production
  • Liaise daily with fabric mills and inform relevant departments of any changes to delivery dates & report all discrepencies
  • Approve bulk fabric orders for delivery
  • Coordinate the delivery of fabrics to and from multiple destinations to meet in store delivery date
  • Responsible for all invoices insuring that the relevant paperwork is processed in a timely manner
  • Manage internal and external fabric queries, availability, quality issues, shortages
  • Manage and update stock levels on a daily basis ensuring all transfers, deliveries and returns are recorded accurately on Navision
  • Weekly fabric stock updates to all departments
  • Ownership of critical path

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a role involving raw material and fabric buying
  • Knowledge of UK and offshore production of CMT garments
  • Experience of working with European mills at luxury level
  • Knowledge of shipping and freight procedures
  • Excellent admin and time management skills
  • Great communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and manufacturers
  • Attention to detail, efficient and able to work calmly under pressure
  • Knowledge of printing, dying and special finishes is preferred but not a must
