GARMENT PRODUCT DEVELOPER SOUTH YORKSHIRE

Your key responsibilities
- Garment construction knowledge and pattern cutting awareness to prepare construction plans for garment sampling and production
- Ability to create spec drawings from scratch in line with design briefings and garment detail drawings to assist manufacturers
- Experience in setting up specification packs for garments including BOM’s, construction notes, label details and cut lists. Management and updates of existing tech packs within the range
- Create artworks for garments and packaging and maintenance of existing label and transfer libraries
- Ensure range trackers are kept updated daily with dates and development changes
- Experience in working with manufacturers, communicating the product development needs with them clearly and following up on their technical questions and enquiries in a timely manner
- Fitting experience, working with Garment Tech and Head of to fit new prototypes and existing styles to improve and amend the fit on the body
- Support in specialist fabric and component sourcing, launch of lab dips, pricing comparisons. Keeping abreast of future developments with current and new suppliers
- Learn certification requirements and garment specific technical certifications, assist with technical manual updates and new additions to the range
- Ad-hoc customer specific development briefs and tenders – research / mood boards / tech packs / fabric trials / prototype development
- Customer engagement and research briefs to assist the product development journey from function to fit to pricing
- Industry competitive shopping research, keeping updated on new developments in the market and new opportunities for the business
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes
- Excellent communication skills required
- Time management and multitasking required
- Must have strong adobe illustrator / photoshop skills
- Additional Languages beneficial
